Last weekend it was super hot here in northern Germany. The temperatures climbed straight over 30°C and a nice and warm wind was blowing from the south-east. So I decided to get up really early in the morning to study and at noon, when the thermal winds kicked in, I was on my way to my favorite spot in denmark, where the water is flat like in your bathtub. It was amazing to go riding only in boardshorts. Later on I used a lycra too, because I didn’t wanna get a sunburn. On saturday it started with a well powered session on the 11m and ended nice on the 9m. That conditions motivated me a lot, I landed a new move and tried to get another one. Denise took some pictures that day, which I wanna show you right now!

At university the semester is going to end soon, so there isn’t much time until the exams. But the good thing on studying is that you can learn everywhere. So I went to my homespot in St. Peter-Ording on friday.  That day it was super windy and I used my 7m full on. The forecast didn’t look like that, so I left my brand new 5.5m at home. This would have been the day to give it a go. On saturday I used my 9m first, but then decided to take the 7m again. I really like the small kite because training new tricks is easier for me with that one. For today the forecast looked like light powered on 11m, but as I arrived at the beach I took my 9m again and it was fine for two hours. My girlfriend captured some tricks for my planed video which I’m going to release in the end of august.

Last days I was in Quiberon. That’s a small island in the west of France. There was a teammeeting of my kitesponsor Flexifoil. It was a long journey to get there. My girlfriend and me changed driving the car. After 18 hours we arrived at the camping side. The place was great. We had water nearly all around our camping side at high tide.

Unluckily the weather wasn’t fine every day, but when the sun was out it was warm and the water had a nice color. Also the wind wasn’t our friend that days but in the end I can score 3 sessions. One of that was pretty good. The wind started while we were beginning the BBQ. I went on the water on my 11m Hadlow Pro. I was underpowered, but that was okay because it felt so good to kite with a short wetsuit in perfect flat water and sunny weather.

It was a cool but short trip which I enjoyed very much. I met a part of the Flexifoil Team and discovered some new spots.

On friday I met with Stefan Permien to session our kicker which we build last christmas. Now it was time to test it on a kite. The forecast looked quite good. Sunny and 15 to 20 knots. At the beach it was much more, so that I was full powered on my 7m. Not the easiest conditions to test a new obstacle, but I got better and better. After a few pretty hard crashes in the beginning I was happy later when I could do my tricks fully controlled.

It was a nice session till it was completely dark. Not easy to carry a huge kicker out of the water and all the way up to the trailer.

The pic above is from tuesday. I went to Kiel after university to kite with Stefan Permien. He was doing a shooting and now there is also a cool pic of me in front of the houses.

Now the plan for the weekend is to session our kicker. It’s time to hit it with a kite. The last time we were pulled by a car. The wind directions looks perfect for a nice flat water spot. Also it’s planed to take a lot of pics and some video footage. So check back for sick action.

Today we went to a beach near Flensburg to shoot some photos with the new Triggernaut sunglasses and lycra. The weather was great and it was the first time this year that it was warm. The water was a bit choppy but the wind was great for my 9m Hadlow Pro. Training on a new trick since today and I hope I’ll get it tomorrow.
