Icy Session

I was out again after 3 weeks of learning for exams and too cold weather. Next week I got 3 more exams, but I couldn’t sit at home when there was wind outside. Of course it was the warmest day of the week (-1°C). A friend of mine, Niklas, came to the beach, too. He filmed a bit, so we have to see if there is some good footage. I was out there with 2 shirts and a fleece under my drysuit, so I wasn’t fast in my movements. That leaded to some nice “not-catch-the-bar-again-crashes”. But better “warm” crashes than a really really cold session.

I took this pic right before my session, the dark-grey color in the water in front of the snow was super deep crushed ice. It was difficult to ride through it to get into the real water. The temperatur of the water is between 0 and -2°C. Hopefully the spring will come soon!
